The power usage of a typical gaming PC is negligible on your power bill unless you're running it 24/7, 365 folding. If I reduce the power profile to adaptive (or balanced) then my bill may lower $10-$15. a reasonable expectation, in my experience, is my computer uses approximately $20 of that power. Thus, we can conclude that the $60 in winter is due primarily to electric heat, computer, lights, etc. This is due solely to running my AC 24/7 during summer. Winter gives me bills of $60, summer between $100-$120. By far and away the biggest contributor is AC. My computer makes a negligible difference in the power bill when set to different power settings. I live in a 450sqft studio with air conditioning, kitchen, yada yada. My computer with a 4790k/980 used for approximately 20 hours per week of which 90% is gaming, my power bill is $60-$120 per month. This is the exception not the norm and only applies on very small number of cases. At the same time, we can also allow posts and comments that may break one or more rules outlined on this list.
